I am A New Yorker raised in the Lower East Side. My teacher's friend told me, " You're so lucky to live in a city like New York." First I thought to myself " But, New York is loud, noisy, and busy, so what's special about New York?" For this project I had set out to find people and ask them for their opinion of New York. I asked them questions like "What do you like about New York?" Or "What is one great thing about New York?" I didn't just want to ask them question about New York. I wanted to connect to people as well. I wanted to get to know every one's background.
