Hi my name is Raquel M.
What
are your influences when you write or when you create art as we can see you are
multi talented?
( she laughs)....well the kind of poetry
that i write as well as my art work derive from my experiences
wether they
be good or bad.
Describe
teh type of art or writing that you do? How do get inspired?
My
art is abstract art and my poetry is about what ever i am feeling at the moment.I
don't know it just happens.
It's not like when i see something it triggers
me to draw, its something that i can explain. I guess taht living in New York
its diversity
inspires me becasue your are able to see lots of thngs.Now referring
to her poetry she says, there isnt a constant structure taht i follow.
I just
allow my hand to go its not like i sit there thinking of what it is taht i am
going to write.
What
role if any does Urabnisim play throughout your work?
Urbanisim
is very important i guess because it has a lot ot do with how i think . Living
and growing up in an urban society
i feel that ive been exposed to many different
things. I feel that being in an urban enviornment is the reason why i am so close
minded.
I am constantly being exposed to many different people and i enjoy
it it makes me somehow feel comfortable.
Do
you think taht you would still be creating teh type of art or poetry taht you
do now?
The amazing thing about art is taht it is never
right or wrong, which i have learned is always an advantage.
